Whether it is an orange eagle catching a fish from a river or a tiger grabbing the neck of a deer, Gary Shoats never misses a perfect shot. Capturing the images of wild animals in their natural environments is his full time passion. He is a professional and skillful wildlife photographer with over 15 years of experience. He completed his studies in Economics before he developed an interest in photography. In his teenage years, when friends of Gary were busy going to parties, he always waited for birds to come in the backyard so that he can take some good pictures and put them in his scrap book. Gradually, his hobby turned into his passion.

In addition to understanding photographic techniques, Gary Shoats knows every minute detail and has in depth knowledge about animal behavior to never miss an anticipating action any animal. He usually dresses in dark hues of clothes so that he could click the best shots without distracting the action of wild animals. His experience and zeal over the years has led to a collected works of some exquisite moments from the wilds. Being a nature lover, he has ventured around various national parks and sanctuaries around many countries to expand his knowledge. In his early stages of career, he has spend hours, days and camped outdoors just to get the perfect shots.

Being a proficient wildlife photographer, Gary Shoats has shared his work with newspapers, magazines, wildlife NGOs and photography contests as well. Some pictures taken by him are also used in designing calendars. He also do extensive travelling in order to find the intended subjects like for taking some unique pictures of wild elephants he went to Africa, for kangaroos he went to Australia. He says, “this kind of photography is very challenging and need specialised skills. Anyone who is interested in wildlife photography should be use to camping, extensive travelling, hiking, and survival skills in order to get best pictures.” His pictures inspires in some or the other way of preservance of environment and wild animals.
