Gary Shoats is a purse designer based in London, and has worked for a number of leading brands helping them design artistic and modern purses that will stand the test of time. He completed his formal education in biology from Northwestern University and took up a job with a design boutique to make ends meet and pay for his daily needs. Here he discovered that he was proficient at designing ladies handbags. It wasn't long before he began experimenting at home with different kinds of textiles and materials. When his boss realized his talent, he encouraged him to pursue his hobby and take things to the next level.

While working at the boutique, Gary Shoats was approached by a small time local designer who wanted him to design purses for her upcoming fashion show. Gary was only too happy to do that for her and after the show his purse collection sold out completely. This is when his career really took off. The designer introduced him to some people she knew in the industry, and after seeing samples of his work, they signed him on. He began working for local popular local and national brands and designers. His purses showed up frequently on the runway and were used by famous names in the business.

His next real break came when a famous A-list celebrity's wife asked him to custom make a purse for her. This introduced Gary Shoats to Hollywood and he worked there for about 2 years running his own boutique. From here he was picked up by an international brand that asked him to relocate to Tokyo. Here he took further training for couture purse making . From there , he was posted in Milan and then finally to London, where he currently lives. After having spent 10 years working for other people, he is finally able to launch his own handbag brand, which is a dream come true for him. He hopes that he can achieve the kind of success that his mother always wanted for him.
